The Downfall of Marvel Entertainment

I was sitting in the library and I was reading Spider-Man. As I was turning page to page I had a chance to look back at the moves made last year and recent years. The only positive thing that I noticed was the fact that the Walt Disney Corporation bought out the company. The people at Disney know how to handle and treat the story with care. Something that Marvel has obviously forgotten. They made foolish decisions in the past and readers are slowly leaving the company one by one me included. Marvel has raised the prices of comics by a dollar and it was hard enough to buy comics when they cost 2.99. The economy is already rough. Why not make it even harder for people. On the movie side of things at first I thought they knew what they were doing but now I see that Marvel is just clueless. Jon Faverau left Iron Man 3 and that product is left without a director because the company has no clue as to what they want to do. If I was head of that sinking ship I would go to the parent company Disney in this case and take lessons in how to not screw our fans over. They need to know how to tell a simple narrative without humbling it up and confusing it’s core audience. The fact of the matter is if their next three movies( Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, and The Avengers) are not successful as a straight up narrative then the fan base will definitely leave. Marvel needs to get their act straight in the year 2011 or they are done as a company.
